Vinatech "Expected record high annual sales" - SK
Improving awareness of supercapacitors in progress
SK Securities said on Monday that Vinatech will set a new annual sales record this year by diversifying and expanding its supercapacitor application areas. It did not provide target stock price or investment opinion.

Supercapacitor and secondary batteries play a similar role in storing and releasing energy. Supercapacitor are evaluated as essential factors in improving system stability due to their shorter charging and discharging time and higher durability compared to secondary batteries.
Na Seung-doo, a researcher at SK Securities, said, "The initial public offering (IPO) of domestic competitors in December last year has greatly raised awareness of the supercapacitor sector," adding, "The environment has been created to escape the undervalued section from the standpoint of Vinatech, the No. 1 operator in related sales in Korea."
Europe, which suffers from an energy crisis due to intensifying geopolitical risks, is moving to efficiently utilize an energy medium called hydrogen, he said. "Vinatech is identifying and targeting these market demands."
"Vinatech is receiving love calls from multinational companies by directly producing durable polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEMFC) cells based on the carbon utilization technology and know-how accumulated in the supercapacitor business," he said. "In 2024, there are many factors that highlight the market, so we can break the record of highest annual sales by diversifying the application of supercapacitors and expanding the hydrogen business."
