Jeonju National University announced on the 20th that it signed an agreement with 11 officials from the two organizations, including Sung Do-kyung, CEO of Vinatech Co., Ltd., and Park Jin-bae, president of Jeonju National University.
The main contents of the agreement are △ training experts in power conversion technology and energy △ selecting industry-academic scholarship students for graduate students in power energy △ carrying out industry-academic cooperation projects between universities and companies △ mutual cooperation and exchange such as support for field training and research activities.
As a result, Jeonju University's Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering will select students who are needed by companies among graduate students (including academic and master's-linked courses), and Vinatech will pay necessary scholarships such as tuition.
"Vinatech is a company specializing in producing super-capacitors," said Sung Do-kyung, CEO of Vinatech Co., Ltd. "As businesses such as secondary batteries and hydrogen fuel cells are in full swing, more talented people are needed."
In response, President Park Jin-bae said, "In order to grow into the world's No. 1 supercapacitor company, Vinatech is leading efforts to invest in R&D, foster local youth, and innovate and develop local industries," adding, "To support this, Jeonju University will continue to do its best to foster talent and promote industry-academia cooperation."
