Jeonju Mayor Woo Beom-ki listens to difficulties visiting Vinatech
Jeonju Mayor Woo Beom-ki visited the site of a small but medium-sized company, the main pillar of the local economy, and listened to the difficulties.
According to the city on the 11th, Mayor Woo Beom-ki visited the Jeonju headquarters of Vinatech and the Wanju New Plant, a local small and medium-sized company.
Mayor Woo listened to CEO Sung Do-kyung's explanation of the company's current status and vision, such as energy storage devices and hydrogen fuel cells, and discussed difficulties at the corporate site and ways to foster the industry.
"Vinatech is actively conducting research and development at Jeonju headquarters, R&D research institutes, Wanju new plant (fuel cells), Vietnamese corporations (production bases), and Anyang Global Sales Office, and will further secure economic performance and quality competitiveness by expanding eco-friendly businesses with the completion of plant 2 and 3 next year," said Sung Do-kyung, CEO of Vinatech. "The city of Jeonju should take the lead in discovering and seeking solutions to unreasonable corporate regulations such as various licensing regulations in corporate activities."
In response, Mayor Woo Beom-ki said, "The participation of SMEs with proper will is very important for the regional economy and the development of the Korean hydrogen industry," adding, "We will actively support the needs of regions and companies to promote the hydrogen industry."
Meanwhile, Vinatec (CEO Sung Do-kyung) was founded in July 1999 and currently employs 170 people, and it is a representative technology steel company in Jeonbuk that was selected as one of Korea's top 100 small and medium-sized companies in 2019 and listed on the KOSDAQ the following year in 2020.
