Introducing the original technology of Vinatech's Carbon Nano Fiber (CNF) participating in 'H2 MEET 2023'

Vinatech (CEO Sung Do-kyung) participated in H2 MEET 2023 held at KINTEX's 1st Exhibition Center in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province from September 13th (Wednesday) to September 15th (Friday) and introduced research and development of key parts of hydrogen fuel cells and expansion of production capacity.

Above all, Vinatech introduced itself as the only company in Korea that has achieved vertical integration to produce four core components of hydrogen fuel cells, which are directly researched and developed based on carbon: support, catalyst, MEA, and separator.

Among them, carbon activation, carbon shape control, carbon complexation, metal catalyst synthesis, and attachment technology have been developed and commercialized, along with securing the original technology for "CNF (Carbon Nano Fiber)." In particular, the "support", a key material of fuel cell catalysts, is a CNF or highly durable carbon black product with excellent crystallinity and specific surface area and is resistant to carbon corrosion, and the catalyst supports a large electrochemical reaction area and stability.

In addition, MEA, a key component of the fuel cell stack, can be customized to meet the needs of customers and applied to various fuel cell applications such as automobiles, building power generation, drones, and construction machinery, and has high performance and strong durability.

In addition, as a manufacturer specializing in supercapacities, which are energy storage devices, it provides cylindrical, hybrid, and hybrid lithium capacitors.

An official from Vinatech said, "MEA is currently operating a million-page line and is expected to secure world-class production and quality competitiveness except for Hyundai Motor along with expanding eco-friendly businesses with the completion of factories 2 and 3 next year."
